Description

This collection of Ferrari 288 GTO memorabilia and accessories was acquired over the course of several years and is composed of a Schedoni luggage bag, a Ferrari-branded tool kit, a battery charger, and an Amalgam Collection 1:18-scale model. Literature in the collection includes a 288 GTO owner’s manual, a spare parts catalogue, a service time schedule, a gearbox and differential service manual, Ferrari model brochures, and two issues of Evo magazine along with two document folios.

The suitcase features a leather twin-loop handle, black zippers and stitching, and a leather closure strap with brass hardware. A prancing-horse logo and GTO script are debossed on the front of the bag. The interior is lined with coated beige cloth and features storage pockets and straps to secure the contents. A Ferrari-branded dust bag, a luggage tag, and a key housed in a leather key envelope are included. Blemishes on the tan leather are shown in the image gallery below.

The Zivan battery charger is housed in a tan leather case with a carrying handle. The case features leather dividers for organizing the charger, power cord, charging cable, and instructions. The power cord is designed to work with a European-style electrical outlet.

The tool kit is contained in a black vinyl roll and includes a tow eye, a mallet, a jack, eight open-end vanadium wrenches, Ferrari-branded pliers, spare fuses and bulbs, four screwdrivers, and spare belts. The warning triangle housed in a blue storage case and a 12-volt-powered emergency map light with a carrying pouch also are included in the collection.

The brown leather folding pouch features a debossed prancing-horse logo on the cover, while the other folio is covered in patterned cloth with Ferrari script and the prancing-horse logo repeated across both sides. Leather tabs secure the covers, and both feature interior pockets.

Printed in 1984, the spare parts catalogue is secured in a four-ring binder with a blue hardcover. The catalogue is divided into sections with labelled tabs. Additional literature in the collection includes an owner’s manual, a service time schedule binder, a gearbox and differential service manual, Ferrari model brochures, two issues of Evo magazine that feature the 288 GTO, and charts related to vehicle lubricants.

The 1:18-scale 288 GTO model was produced by Amalgam Collection and is finished in red. Additional contents include a folding box, a clear dust cover, and a certificate of authenticity housed in a black folio.
