Description
This bodywork depicts the front wing and nose cone of a Mercedes-AMG W12 from the 2021 Formula One season. The fiberglass panel is finished in a silver and black Mercedes livery and includes a four-blade wing secured to a central nose cone.
The John Owen-designed Mercedes-AMG W12 debuted at the 2021 Bahrain Grand Prix and was driven to victory by Lewis Hamilton. This 1:1-scale replica of a W12 nose assembly is constructed of fiberglass and wears a silver and black Mercedes livery with sponsor logos including Tommy Hilfiger, Ineos, Pirelli, and Petronas. The overall dimensions of the piece are approximately 75″ wide, 32″ deep, and 43″ tall when installed on the included display stand.
The wing design utilizes four horizonal blades that have a curved inboard profile and are secured to the main plane with vertical supports. The endplates feature a lateral extension on the outboard sides and are flared outward at the rear.
The lower sides of the nose cone feature a convex profile, and an aerodynamic panel with rounded edges is fitted to the underside. Scratches are visible on the right side and rear panel of the nose cone.
