Description
This wire sculpture was designed to resemble a Ferrari 250 GTO and is constructed from red-painted steel wire and features an opening hood. It measures approximately 55″ long and 22″ wide and includes segments representing air intakes, headlights, vents, taillights, and wheels.
The Ferrari 250 Gran Turismo Omologato was introduced in 1962, and 36 examples were produced over two series before production ended in 1964. The model’s success in Group 3 GT racing led to Ferrari winning the Over 2000cc class of the FIA’s International Championship for GT Manufacturers from 1962 to 1964.
