Description

This wire sculpture was designed to resemble a Ferrari 330 P4 race car and is constructed from red-painted steel wire and measures approximately 55″ long and 23″ wide.

The 330 P4 was developed by Ferrari for the 1967 racing season in an effort to regain ground in the company’s rivalry with Ford. In addition to a P3 that was modified to P4 specification, three examples of the original P4 were built and helped Ferrari establish a 1-2-3 sweep at Daytona en route to the 1967 International Championship for Sports-Prototypes.

The sculpture is constructed from red-painted steel wire with segments representing air intakes, headlight surrounds, vents, and taillights. Mounting holes enable the sculpture to be displayed both horizontally.
